Each Adagio Teas type has a sampler set of tins that you can purchase so you can TASTE each one before getting the larger sizes. One tin will make a 2-cup teapot five times.

The Book: "A Guide To Tea"
With my order I received a copy of "A Guide to Tea" by Chris Cason. He not only included photographs, but information that makes tea drinking a gourmet experience. He taught me how to brew a better cup of tea and gave me ideas about brewing that I never understood or experienced.

Like coffee brewing, you have to understand the nature of the ingredients...

Tea Leaves
Brew one teaspoon of tea leaves with each cup of water... oolong, white and green teas taste best with 2 teaspoons per cup.

Water
Use boiling 212F water for black, dark oolong and herbal teas.
Green, light oolong and white teas need cooler 180F water for the best flavor.

Brew Timing
Five minutes for most black teas.
Seven minutes for dark oolong and white teas.
Three minutes for light oolong and green teas.

When in doubt, each Adagio Teas Tin includes the tea name, type and brew times... so clever and so nice for guests to select and make their own.
