Trellis Reserve Kona Coffee

A French Press and
Kona Joe Trellis Reserve Kona Coffee

Visitors of the Hawaiian Islands often want to experience true Kona Coffee. The problem is that most “Kona Coffees” are only 10% Kona beans and 90% regular coffee beans... but I found a secret Kona Coffee source that few know about!

Ala Moana Shopping
1
One afternoon while living in Honolulu, my husband, Rob-ART Morgan and I went out for an afternoon of errands and shopping at Ala Moana Shopping Center. About 3 PM we were “out of gas” and needed a rest, a snack and time to plan the remainder of our afternoon. We just happened to be near Neiman Marcus and decided to try out their restaurant. Of course, we had the place to ourselves since lunch was over and dinner was a few hours away. We were seated in the bar area since the dinner service was being set up. We decided that a caffeine boost and something sweet would get our “shopping engines” running again. The bar menu described a mouth-watering slice of macadamia nut pie and a special pot of French Press Kona coffee. The cost of the French Press Coffee was twice the amount for a regular cup of coffee, but I remembered getting this at a restaurant with my mom and sister-in-law when we went to Maui. So we ordered one pot with two cups and one slice of pie to keep our figures in shape!

Well, the desert was spectacular, but the "French Press Kona Coffee” sent us straight to heaven. It was so smooth that I equate it to a smooth chocolate rich flavor that no other coffee has ever come close to. I love the aroma of coffee and these brewed beans taste like the smell we coffee connoisseurs always yearn for...

Kona Joe Estate Trellis Reserve
2I asked the waiter what kind of coffee I was drinking and he said, “Kona Joe Estate Trellis Reserveand we sell it in the food department outside the restaurant.” Needless to say, we immediately went out to buy some, but at $25 per 8-ounce bag, we had sticker shock! But with the taste still lingering in our mouths, we had to purchase two bags for home!!!

Kona Joe Coffee beans are grown on the Big Island of Hawaii, hand picked, hand processed and Hawaiian sun-dried. Only small batches are roasted at a time so that freshness is maintained... just like Hawaiian Gold.
