Vegan Breakfast Cereals
Sometimes you just don't wake up with breakfast meal creativity. Not to worry, now we have a plethora of breakfast cereals that are organic and nutritious!
Weetabix® - Organic
I had this cereal at my Grandma's house as a child, but didn't know what it was called. And just recently a friend gave me a box to try. He said it was very popular in Canada. I loved it so much that I decided to get another box and when I was shopping realized that Barbara's Bakery was the company that brought back Britain's best selling cereal, Weetabix®. These unique oval biscuits are made of Organic Whole Wheat and lightly sweetened to allow their natural flavor to shine through.
There are three Weetabix® whole grain cereals made by Barbara's Bakery: Original Biscuits, for traditionalists, and new Crispy Flakes and Crispy Flakes & Fiber, for those who crave a bit more crunch. All are organic, packed with wholesome nutrition, and made without any artificial ingredients, hydrogenated oils or trans fats.
For less than 300 calories you can create a wholesome breakfast with Weetabix®:

Bob's Red Mill Old Fashioned Oatmeal
Personally, I think Bob's Red Mill Rolled Oats are the tastiest on the market. The flavor of these oats is better than any other product I've tested. There are several OAT versions at Bob's Red MIll: Instant Oats, Rolled Quick Cooking Oats, Rolled-Regular Old Fashioned, Rolled Thick Oats, and Steel-Cut Oats. Each version is excellent in taste and texture, so try them for yourself.

Ingredients
1 cup water
1 cup almond, soy, or rice milk
3/4 cup Bob's Red Mill Rolled Oats
scant of sea salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 tablespoons organic maple syrup or organic all-fruit jam
Tools
small heavy-bottomed sauce pan with lid
stir spoon
measuring cups & spoons
serving bowl & spoon
Preparation
Spray a coating of non-stick oil spray in small heavy-bottomed sauce pan.
Add water, almond milk, oats and sea salt.
Over high heat, bring to boil, turn heat to medium and stir constantly for two minutes.
Turn heat down to a simmer for two minutes... stir occasionally.
Turn heat off, cover with lid and go take shower.
Just before serving, add vanilla, sweetener and bit more almond milk if you like.
This makes a BIG BOWL or enough for two small appetites and will keep you going all morning!
