Vegan Breakfast Cherry Chia Seed Oatmeal
I couldn't believe that I could eat chia seeds raw, not to mention LOVE them! These little specks look like poppyseeds, but they are much more versatile in vegan recipes and packed with vegan protein! I started sprinkling them on everything! Anyway, this is our vegan breakfast that I prepare at least twice a week.

1/2 cup frozen cherries, whole
2 heaping tablespoons sliced almonds
1/4 cup soy milk creamer
2 tablespoons agave nectar
2 tablespoons raw chia seeds
Tools
medium sauce pan with lid

Preparation Bob's Red Organic Old Fashion Oatmeal
The Oatmeal
Measure the oats into a medium sized heavy bottomed sauce pan with a lid.
Dry pan roast the oats for a minute or two and then add the water and sea salt.
Bring the oats to a simmer and immediately turn the heat off and cover the pan with the lid.
HINT: This method of oatmeal preparation leaves the oats whole, yet soft... not mushy and gluey. Don't worry if some liquid is left, but scoop it into the bowls.
The Oatmeal Toppers
While the oatmeal is absorbing the water, cut the frozen cherries into quarters.
Frozen Cherries Quartered
Gather the sliced almonds, soy creamer, agave nectar and chia seeds.
Presentation
Scoop half the oatmeal in the sauce pan into each serving bowl.
Sprinkle one tablespoon of chia seed over each bowl filled with oatmeal.
Raw Chia Seeds Sprinkled on Oatmeal
Add a tablespoon of sliced almonds to each bowl.
Add a tablespoon or less of agave nectar with 1/8 cup of the soy creamer to each bowl. (I like mine sweeter, so I add a packet of Xylitol Plus.)
Lastly, add 1/4 cup of the quartered frozen cherries to each bowl.
