| Vegan Sandwiches Lunches from childhood often had meatloaf sandwiches created by my mother for my little brown lunch bag. So I decided to try a sandwich from the Meltdown Meatloaf recipe. The results were just as I suspected, GREAT! Ingredients Tools Preparation Cut two slices for each sandwich you plan to prepare.
Tomato & Onion Slices For those who live on the "Wild-Side", slice a red onion on the fine side into a bowl of cold water. This will prevent you from "crying" during the slicing process and will take the "burp"s out of the onion. Drain the water off the onions after two minutes and scrape the thin rounds into a clean kitchen cloth to soak up any excess water. Set the dried onions aside. The Bread Apply a thin layer of Vegenaise on each slice, add the Meltdown Meatloaf slices, the tomatoes, and if you dare, the onions. Season with sea salt, black pepper and a dash of crushed red pepper flakes.
