Whenever we’re in the city, we like to get a shot of wheat grass at a juice bar, you know the name, and it costs $2.50 for a 2 ounce shot. That’s $5 for two of us. If we go twice a week, $10 x 4 weeks, $40 a month. Now that I can grow my own wheat grass in my EasyGreen Sprouter, I wanted a juicing machine that would juice the tender wheat blades. The Green Star twin gears contain a bioceramic and magnetic technology that allows the gears to extract juice at a higher nutritional content. The bioceramic material inside the Twin Gears utilizes the kinetic energy of the turning gears to emit far-infrared. This is a wavelength at which water and all organic material naturally oscillates. This has a stabilizing effect on the juice by delaying oxidation. This translates into a juice that can be stored longer without oxidation... better taste after refrigeration.

Built-in Safety Feature
Although the Green Star’s Twin Gears are mostly stainless steel, there is an important nylon element built into each one for safety. The nylon serves as a crucial element to buffer the ears to ensure that the two metal gears do no come into contact with each other. This 4/1000 of an inch separation created by the nylon prevents any stainless steel shavings from inadvertently entering the juice or pulp.
The nylon portion of the Twin Gears also protects the motor. While juicing, a great deal of pressure is created in the juicing chamber. This pressure is released as the pulp is ejected from the unit. If the gears were all stainless steel, excess strain could be placed on the motor during juicing. The nylon provides an override and will crack rather than damaging the motor. Although this would mean you’d have to replace the Twin Gears, the motor would be saved. Thus the life span of the Green Star would be longer since “burn-out” could not occur.
Pocket Recess & Cutting Points
The Twin Gears feature teeth designed with special pocket recesses to aid in processing hard vegetables like carrots. These sharp edges reduce the initial grinding phase of the juicing process and reduces the amount of strain exerted on the Green Star’s motor.
Special cutting points on each of the Twin Gears allows the Green Star to handle a wider variety of produce without jamming or clogging the machine.
Pressure Adjustment Mechanism for Pulp
Each Green Star has a pressure adjustment mechanism that adjusts the amount of pressure that is required for pulp extraction. This translates 
into an effective handling of a wider variety of produce without worry of jamming or clogging the machine during the juicing process. Hard vegetables like carrots require more pressure in order to squeeze the highest amount of juice from the pulp. But wheat grass and other softer vegetables require less pressure. The Green Star allows the user to adjust the amount of pressure without having to stop juicing. Simply dial in the tension for the desired pressure and keep juicing.
Open the Pulp Adjustment Knob for a very wet pulp and tighten it to get drier pulp... it will take very little experimentation to acquire the perfect setting for your type of juice.
Juices Wheat Grass
The Green Star 2000 juiced wheat grass blades with ease. Remember to chill or freeze your gears to cut down on foam. And lower the wheat grass blades into the chute with the blades all going in at the same time... not sideways and without a pusher being used. Don’ be in a hurry and cram a wad into the chute because it won’t work! Done right, the gears will grab the wheat grass blades and only the adjustment knob will need to be adjusted. End result: superior wheat grass juice right at home!
Low Operation Noise
The noise level was as quiet as our espresso maker. We could actually carry on a conversation while juicing.
Compact Design
The Green Star is compact and easy to store. It features a built-in handle and hidden cord storage on the bottom back portion of the machine.
