(UPDATE 7.27.09 Sorry that some of you have had a hard time finding the Amco Vintage Citrus Juicer at Chefs.com. I just found out that they are not manufacturing it anymore. So I investigated and found out that Amco was the seller and they apparently are not manufacturing it anymore. So I found a source at Cooking.com and they have sold all their units too.

I am experimenting with a few new juicing devices and if they are worthy, I will give you a listing and a place to purchase. Perhaps you might find one of the Amco Vintage Juicers at a garage sale or thrift store. Keep your eyes on the look-out for this juicer.)

I inherited the aluminum version of this juicer that Mom used for citrus juices in our childhood home. I've never seen one until now that was close to its design. Cooking.com now sells the retro-styled yet modernly updated Amco Vinage Citrus Juicer.

This new version is crafted of enameled cast aluminum components featuring the same pour spout and funnel. The enameled part was what I was searching for since I learned that aluminum should NOT touch whatever you drink, cook, or juice in. This citrus squeezer can juice oranges, limes, lemons and even small grapefruits.

You won't believe how fast and easy it is to use. And clean up is a snap since the top hinge pin can be removed for washing. Yes, it larger that most of the other types of citrus juicers, but in my opinion it works the best. I just make room for it in my cabinets.

The Amco Vintage Citrus Juicer has sure-grip feet to prevent slipping and scratches. Hand-wash, only.
