The Cuisinart PerfecTemp™ Electric Kettle is a delight to the eye and very functional in an all stainless steel kitchen! It has 6 preset temperatures for different varieties of tea that I like to brew throughout the day. And the 1500-watts of power provides fast heat-ups, and a Keep Warm Option maintains the chosen set temperature for 30 minutes in case I get side-tracked doing something else. The kettle can even be removed from the power base for up to 2 minutes without shutting off.

Periodic Cleaning
Depending the water you have and its mineral content, the inside of the kettle may start looking peculiar... speckled or rough. This is not anything bad, but it may scale off into your beverages and look unsightly. I live in Portland, OR and the water is pristine and a pH level of 7, so I never have any scale buildup. But if you do, use 1 cup white distilled vinegar and fill the kettle with water and give it a full boil. Empty and rinse several times and the interior stainless steel will be completely smooth, clean, and brand-new again.

Side Note:
Just got back from a trip to Honolulu for two weeks. Wanted to have espressos like at home, but didn't want to spend the "Starbucks" to get it. So we went to Macy's and bought a DeLonghi Pump Espresso Machine, two Bodum cups and had espressos for ourselves and visitors in our Waikiki Grandview Suite... check it out!
